Peterborough Regional Pool Carpark Monday, 15 January, 2024

Peterborough’s Regional Pool now offers visitors’ safe, secure parking in their newly constructed carpark; designed and managed by Hamson Barron Smith. Accommodating 128 cars, the carpark is constructed of a combination of porous asphalt, and a concrete grid and grass system.

The previous carpark, located near Peterborough’s University Development, has been reutilised and swimming pool traffic redirected, alleviating congestion, and improving navigation.

Hamson Barron Smith were employed by Peterborough City Council, delivering a range of services from inception to completion. HBS was responsible for the Architectural, Landscaping, Civil Engineering (via an external consultant), Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent services for the project from RIBA Stages 0 to 6.

Construction works were undertaken by Coulson and Son Ltd of Cambridge with site works commencing in Spring 2022 and the project completing in late Summer.
