Two schemes shortlisted for regional RICS Awards Thursday, 2 March, 2017

Hamson Barron Smith is delight to announce the two of our schemes have been shortlisted in the East of England RICS Awards 2017.

Carrowbreck Meadow, a development of 14 Passivhaus dwellings within a woodland setting, is in the running for the residential category. This is the first project for Broadland Growth Ltd, a joint venture between NPS and Broadland District Council and has created comfortable, healthy homes which are affordable to run, eliminating fuel poverty, and futureproofing these homes for the demands of our changing climate.

Bowthorpe Care Village, an 80-bed specialist care home with 92-apartment ‘Housing with Care’ scheme around a central ‘Village Hub’, has been shortlisted for the Community Benefit Award. The aim of the development was to promote active ageing, while the layout is designed to provide the space needed to carry out the best possible care for all residents, and ensure good quality of life.

The RICS Awards showcase the achievements of the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment.

Winners will be announced at an award ceremony held on 10 May 2017 at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds.
